CINCINNATI PLAYHOUSE IN THE PARK TO PRESENT SPECIAL HOLIDAY PERFORMANCES OF ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND FOR KIDS Show will be performed December 20-23 and 26-30 and will tour to area schools this fall (CINCINNATI) – For the first time, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s Rosenthal Next Generation Theatre Series will include a special holiday presentation as part of its 2005-2006 season schedule. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will be performed at the Playhouse from December 20 to 23 and from December 26 to 30. The show also will tour to schools throughout the region this fall as part of the Skilken/Brown Touring Company schedule. One of the most beloved children’s stories of all time, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland comes to life in this charming theatrical adaptation written by Lewis Carroll and adapted for the stage by Deborah Lynn Frockt. Bored and in search of excitement, Alice gets more than she bargains for when she tumbles down an unassuming rabbit hole. There, she discovers a world like nothing she’s ever known, populated with unforgettable characters including the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and more! Alice finds that little is what it seems in this mixed-up place of fantasy and topsy-turvy fun. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a fairytale about the trials and tribulations of growing up as seen through the expert eyes of a child. The show will be performed daily at the Playhouse from December 20 to 23 and December 26 to 30 at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $5 for theatergoers ages 4 to 18 and $6 for adults. Tickets will go on sale when the remainder of the Rosenthal Next Generation Theatre Series schedule is announced in late August. The show also will tour to schools throughout the region this fall as part of the Playhouse’s Skilken/Brown Touring Company and Procter and Gamble Community Outreach Tours. Tour dates are October 10 through November 4 for Kindergarten through sixth grade students. For more information about the Playhouse's education and outreach programs or to book a performance of the show, contact Playhouse Education Director Bert Goldstein at 513/345-2242 or visit the Playhouse web site at www.cincyplay.com. Artists fly to and from Cincinnati on Delta Connection Comair, the Playhouse’s official airline. The Playhouse is supported, in part, by the generosity of the tens of thousands of individuals and businesses that give to the Fine Arts Fund. The Ohio Arts Council helps fund the Playhouse with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. The Playhouse also receives funding from the City of Cincinnati.###
