The Morse Johnson Society

.

Perhaps more than any other person, Morse Johnson took Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park from being the dream of a small group of volunteers and artists to the reality it is today. A civil rights champion and a World War II hero, Johnson was the first president of the board of trustees in 1960. He led the board through its first decade, served as its chairman until 1975 and remained a strong presence throughout his life.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s Morse Johnson Society honors those individuals and families who have made a gift to the Playhouse’s endowment fund through their estate plans, assuring the Playhouse’s promise of great theatre for the Greater Cincinnati community for many years to come.

The Playhouse Endowment is a permanent investment fund that will provide funding for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s artistic, educational and community programs. Your gift to the endowment is invested and provides ongoing funding for Playhouse programs, supporting them year after year.

Ways You Can Make an Endowment Gift

Membership in the Morse Johnson Society provides you with a unique opportunity to create a lasting legacy of your own that will provide exceptional theatre and education and outreach programs for our community.
